Corfu Golf Club is nearby and The Corfu Trail passes through the village. Pelekas is famous for its panoramic views of Corfu and the Greek mainland and for its sunsets. In the summer the village has some low level tourism and several restaurants open for the season. The rest of the year it is quiet but there are some bars, mini-markets and a bakery which stay open all year.
